Jasper Cook and Kat Black are pleased to announce their elopement on 22nd September 2006.

We met at Art School in 2003, sat next to each other in the first class, met up at a photography lecture that weekend, went home together and have continued to nauseate people with our coupleness ever since. Three and a half years later, it's about time we made it official :)

With a couple of gratefully appreciated exceptions, our families' reactions to the news of our engagement ranged from lukewarm to hotly opposed (because marriage is 'too conservative'). Thus, a proper wedding seemed a bit pointless (and expensive), so we did the obvious thing and eloped.

We are indebted to Louise Lister and her partner Matt for making the wedding such a wonderful event. So much better than a Registry Office ordeal.

OK, so there's a big age gap, and we might look like a bit of an odd couple, but our friends who know us well know how lucky we are to have found each other. We talk at warp speed, finish each other's sentences and think as ourselves as two halves of one person. Hopefully you can see in the photos on Flickr and the video here just how happy we are :)
