Labyrinth
- The Art Room
You
climb into a bright, white room. Well, it was once white... You
can hear the sound of children playing, laughter and bickering in
a swarm of different languages.
At
the beginning of the evening, the stark space was bare. Unopened
packets of crayons, felt pens and chalk sat invitingly by the walls
and soon the guests and performers began to add their own creativity
to the space. Messages, drawings, stream-of-consciousness poetry.
By the end of the evening, every inch of the wall was covered.
As
you leave the brightness of the room, you step down into a dark
space. An abandoned Lemonade Stall is on one side, and on the other,
a life-sized Marionette. She moves slowly, as though being pulled
on strings by her Puppeteer.
